Around the web… Overheard in New York

December 7th, 2009

(from wehearit.com)

Has it ever happened to you that you inadvertently overhear someone on the bus, a coffee place or simply passing you by on the street saying something that makes you go ‘WTF?!’ Sometimes it can just be a sentence completely taken out of context, but there’s also those people saying things you never thought you’d hear someone say out loud.

Around the web… Not always right

(from weheartit.com)

Not always right is described as Funny & Stupid customer quotes, but it’s also more than that. It’s also a compilation of bizarre situations some more ordinary, such as your regular ‘I-am-rude-just-because-I-can’ customer, others that are funny confussions and others on the verge of absolut surrealism, like the woman who believed that the employee could time travel to get her a product from 15 years ago.

Around the web… Albert Exergian

November 19th, 2009

How to capture a TV Show in just one image? And what if you have to do that in the most minimalistic way? That’s what Albert Exergian has managed to do with his collection of TV Shows posters: just one image, taken to its most simple look, but which is enough to make most of them immediately recognizable for the avid TV viewer. I can’t talk about those shows I don’t watch, but those that I do, and even some others, seem to be perfectly captured, with just a few lines and colours. My personal favorite is probably the Dexter one, but it’s hard to pick. Find below a few of my favorite ones and go to his website exergian.com to find 20+ more and a few more examples of some nice work by him.
