I can’t wait for… Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

This July, once again, is Harry Potter month! Two years after the last installment and being pushed back several months, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince hits the screens. This is the movie adaptation of the sixth and second to last book in the famous J.K. Rowling series. I always try to approach the movies with a very open mind and try not to go too crazy about things they don’t include or things they just made up. This one is no exception. Besides being one of my favorite books of the saga, the previews look pretty good and there are a few things I’m excited to see in this movie

Luna’s lion’s head hat! I know that this was supposed to be set on the 5th year, but any Luna is great Luna. In fact, I’m looking forward to each and every of her appereances. After completely ignoring quidditch in the last movie, they seem to be bringing it back in full force.

The Unbreakable vow scene at Spinner’s End with Snape, Bellatrix and Narcissa is probably one of my favorite chapters of the saga, so I’m really excited about seeing how they’ve put it into images. The Bellatrix-Snape tension and Narcissa, in whom we start to see her son’s safety as her one main concern, make this scene an excellent opening for the story.

And more quidditch I understand that wizards’ favorite sport is not essential to the main story, so I didn’t complain about last movie’s cut. However, I’m glad they decided to bring it back, especially to enjoy Ron’s quidditch subplot (also from book 5). My only wish now is to have Luna commentating the match XD

Jim Broadbent as Professor Horace Slughorn! It’s the second time they cast the actor who was my favorite choice for a role, the first one being Helena Bonham-Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange, so I can’t be happier and more excited to see this amazing actor as one of the most peculiar teachers. It’s one of those characters you don’t know very well whether to like them or not, at least at the beginning, and I’m sure Broadbent is gonna be perfect!
